- Kate Fetherston
Kate Fetherston is a writer, visual artist, singer, and psychotherapist living in Montpelier, Vermont.
Kate first book of poetry, Until Nothing More Can Break, was published by Antrim House in 2012. Her poetry and essays has appeared in numerous journals, including North American Review, Hunger Mountain, Nimrod, New Ohio Review, and Third Coast. She co-edited Manthology: Poems on the Male Experience, (University of Iowa) and Open Book: Essays from the Postgraduate Writers’ Conference, (Cambridge Scholars Press). Kate has won grants from the Vermont Council on the Arts and Vermont Studio Center. She's been nominated for a Pushcart Prize every year since 2002. Kate has an MFA in writing from Vermont College.
Kate's visual art has been shown in California and Vermont. She's studied privately and continues to do so.
While not performing at this time, Kate is a singer and musician. She loves cross-pollination between art forms.
Kate's writing workshops call on her varied background and she is committed to encouraging creative confidence and continuing exploration in others. A favorite saying, from The Artist's Way: "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly."
